Registered Nurse Remote Triage (Part-time, Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide telephone triage and medication prior‑authorization support on a part‑time, fully remote basis. The role offers flexible per‑diem hours across weekdays and weekends, allowing you to balance professional growth with personal commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging inbound calls and submitting medication prior‑authorization requests.
• Screening calls, scheduling appointments, and updating medication lists in the EMR.
• Completing referrals, reviewing prescriptions, and obtaining patient consent as directed.
• Providing pre‑visit planning, patient education on medication and home care, and follow‑up on test results.
• Maintaining specimen labeling, handling, and documentation.
• Performing quality‑assurance tasks, documenting clinical visit summaries, and participating in daily patient‑care huddles.
• Collaborating with nursing colleagues to manage medical and drug supplies and ensure a clean, safe work environment.

Required profile

• Current, unencumbered NYS RN license.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; high‑school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience (at least 6 months of recent experience).
• Ability to lift up to 20 lb and work independently in a remote setting.
