About the role

Join Ochsner Health as a Registered Nurse providing specialized care in pediatric infectious disease and nephrology. You will lead patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to the unit’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

Effectively apply the nursing process to deliver high‑quality patient care.
Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and staff.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
Utilize data and evidence‑based practice to evaluate outcomes and drive improvements.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice (Louisiana).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
No prior experience required; supervisory or management experience is a plus.
