Registered Nurse – Operating Room (St. Mary)

About the role

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at St. Mary will lead patient care using the nursing process, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. The role requires delegation, supervision of team members, and a focus on quality outcomes while respecting cultural diversity.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care in the OR.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing resources effectively, acting as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Apply data and evidence‑based practice to drive improvements and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards and report any ethical concerns.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and supervise others.
