Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Tele Stepdown – Weekend Days

About the role

Ochsner Health seeks a Registered Nurse to provide leadership in patient care on the Med Surg/Tele Stepdown unit at OMC Jeff Hwy during weekend days. The RN will use the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold Ochsner’s commitment to healing, education, and innovation.

Key responsibilities

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (required); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• No prior experience required; entry‑level candidates are welcome.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred certification in a clinical specialty area.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software applications, and web‑based systems.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
