Registered Nurse – Jones Eye Institute

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Jones Eye Institute team. The RN will provide patient‑centered care, education, and support in a collaborative clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement interdisciplinary, patient‑ and family‑centered plan of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to assess and manage patient care.
• Administer medications, treatments and diagnostic tests, and document care accurately.
• Provide patient and family education, discharge planning and emotional support.

Required profile

• RN degree (ADN, diploma or BSN) and valid Arkansas RN license.
• Minimum one year of RN experience with current BLS certification.
• Preferred BSN, knowledge of Patient‑Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and ability to obtain ACLS certification within one year.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Knowledge of Patient‑Centered Medical Home (PCMH) principles.
