About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse for its Inpatient Oncology unit on Jeff Highway. The position offers a sign‑on bonus, relocation assistance, and welcomes new graduate nurses.

Key responsibilities

Effectively uses the Nursing Process in the delivery of patient care.
Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for patients, families, and other groups.
Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the Interdisciplinary Team.
Utilizes data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.

Required profile

Registered Nurse diploma; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
No prior experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Current RN license in Louisiana and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

Computer skills for data entry and retrieval; proficiency with Windows‑style applications.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
