Registered Nurse – Campus Health Services

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care, health education, and wellness support to students. This position ensures a healthy and safe campus environment while managing daily operations of the Randy S. Risher Wellness Center.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries, administer medications, and provide first aid and emergency response.
• Maintain confidential medical records and coordinate referrals to external healthcare providers.
• Lead campus-wide health education initiatives, screenings, and prevention programs.
• Collaborate with Counseling Services, Residence Life, Athletics, University Police, Academic Affairs, and community healthcare providers.
• Participate in campus emergency response and serve on the Behavior Intervention Team (BIT).
• Oversee the daily operations of the wellness center, including staffing and resource management.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse license in Arkansas.
• Experience providing clinical care in a student or community health setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple campus departments.
• Strong communication skills and capacity to respond to emergencies.
