Registered Nurse – BHSL General Adult Unit

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the BHSL General Adult Unit. This full‑time, day‑shift position provides direct patient care in a fast‑paced adult acute‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience in adult acute‑care or similar hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to work the designated day shift and meet legal work‑authorization requirements.
