Registered Nurse – BHSL Child Diagnostic Unit

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the BHSL Child Diagnostic Unit. This full‑time, night‑shift position provides direct nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing diagnostic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and monitor clinical status before, during, and after diagnostic tests.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe and efficient patient flow.
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post‑procedure care, and discharge instructions.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work the night shift on a regular schedule.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
