About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Acute Medical Stepdown Unit at Ochsner’s OMC campus on Jeff Highway. The position offers a full‑time day shift schedule and includes a sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver high‑quality patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
Assess patient learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Delegate, direct, and collaborate with licensed and ancillary staff, serving as a leader on the unit.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.

Required profile

Current RN license in the state of practice and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Registered nurse diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
No prior work experience required.
Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
