About the role

Join Ochsner Health’s Acute Medical Stepdown Unit as a Registered Nurse, providing high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced hospital environment. You will act as a leader on the unit, applying the nursing process, delegating tasks, and supporting interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence‑based patient care.
Assess patient learning needs and implement appropriate education for patients and families.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
Stay current with federal, state, and accreditation standards and ensure compliance.

Required profile

Registered Nurse diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
No prior experience required; strong judgment and interpersonal skills essential.
