Regional Training Coordinator – EMS (Region 6)

About the role
The Georgia Department of Public Health seeks a Regional Training Coordinator for EMS in Region 6. You will oversee initial and continuing EMS education programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and support licensure processes for instructors and providers.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of EMS education programs, instructors, and students with DPH rules and EMS procedures.
- Serve as licensing officer for Instructor Licenses and Critical Care Paramedic endorsements.
- Inspect education facilities for initial designation, annual re‑designation, and conduct investigations.
- Review and align course curricula with state requirements and national best practices for EMR, EMT, AEMT, Paramedic and Critical Care Paramedic levels.
- Plan and coordinate at least one regional training symposium annually, managing topics, presenters and logistics.
- Collaborate with regional healthcare coalitions, hospitals and community partners to develop tailored EMS education programs.
- Collect and prepare data for GDAC and EMS Annual Reports, and maintain the TRAIN Ga learning platform.
Required profile
- Current Georgia Paramedic license and EMS Instructor/Coordinator certification.
- Minimum 5 years documented upper‑management experience with a licensed EMS agency or education program.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze education and performance data to guide decision‑making.
- Experience communicating with multiple agencies and managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Report Writer, Learning Management System (LMS) platforms, Biospatial and ImageTrend.
- Strong data‑analytics skills, including pulling, analyzing and interpreting education data.
- Knowledge of critical‑care paramedicine concepts and EMS licensure processes.
