Region Crisis Management Coordinator (Contract)

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Region Crisis Management Coordinator on a contract basis to support the North America Regional Crisis Management Director. The role is based in Herndon, VA and works within the Crisis Management department.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date information on regional Crisis Management Teams (CMTs), Site Crisis Management Officers and the CM database.
• Work with SCMOs to ensure compliance with CMT manuals, training, drills, exercises and local crisis centre checks.
• Apply Airbus crisis management methods and procedures to assess compliance during simulations, exercises and live activations, and generate After‑Action Reports.
• Follow up on corrective actions assigned to CMTs and track risk items in the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) tool.
• Support regional crisis management meetings, trainings, exercises and activations, including topic collection and presentation.
• Assist the Regional Family Care Liaison Officer with implementation of the Family Care Program at designated sites.
• Contribute to the deployment of the “Prepared at Airbus” program in the region.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting crisis management or business continuity programs in a large organization.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder‑management abilities across multiple business units and affiliates.
• Ability to work independently while reporting to the Regional Crisis Management Director.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with risk‑management frameworks and enterprise risk tools.
