About the role
Delta Air Lines is seeking an entry‑level Ramp Agent to join its ground operations team at JFK Airport. You will play a vital part in ensuring passengers’ baggage and cargo are handled safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft.
- Guide incoming and departing aircraft to gate positions to maintain timely connections.
- Protect cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather exposure.
- Operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in congested areas.
- Run baggage scanners and computer systems to route items accurately.
- Work shifts that may range from early morning to overnight, based on operational needs.
Required profile
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in English.
