Radio Content & Programming Director (On‑Air Talent)

About the role

Lobo 97.7, Omaha’s #1 Spanish radio station, is looking for an experienced Radio Content and Programming Director who will also serve as the on‑air talent for the station’s flagship morning show. The role blends strategic programming, music curation, production oversight, and live hosting to deliver engaging, culturally relevant content for the Hispanic community.

Key responsibilities

• On‑Air Talent (Morning Show Host): Create, script, and deliver dynamic morning‑show content, including news, interviews, music, giveaways and social‑media interaction.
• Programming & Content Management: Design daily schedules, coordinate live and pre‑recorded segments, and align programming with audience preferences and station branding.
• Music Direction: Curate a diverse Latin music library, stay current on trends, and coordinate with record labels and artists for promotions and events.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration: Coach on‑air talent, work with sales and marketing to integrate promotions, and adjust programming based on ratings and listener feedback.

Required profile

• Proven experience in radio programming and on‑air hosting, preferably within Spanish‑language markets.
• Deep knowledge of Latin music genres and emerging trends.
• Strong communication skills and ability to connect with a diverse Hispanic audience.
• Leadership capability to mentor talent and collaborate across sales, marketing and production teams.
