Radiation Therapist – Clinical Support

About the role

The Radiation Therapist provides essential clinical support within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) oncology department. Working day shifts, the therapist delivers safe and accurate radiation treatments to patients while collaborating closely with physicians, physicists, and nursing staff.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and calibrate radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators.
• Administer prescribed radiation doses to patients according to treatment plans.
• Verify patient identity and treatment parameters before each session.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report findings to the oncology team.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and radiation protection standards.

Required profile

• Current certification or licensure as a Radiation Therapist.
• Completion of an accredited radiation therapy program.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work day shifts in an on‑site clinical environment.
