About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Radiation Oncology Clinic. This full‑time, day‑shift position provides direct patient care in a multidisciplinary oncology environment, supporting treatment delivery and patient education.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, including assessments, medication administration, and symptom management.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, and therapists to coordinate treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health system and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Educate patients and families about treatment procedures, side‑effects, and self‑care strategies.
- Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
Required profile
- Current, unrestricted RN license in Arkansas.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
- Experience in oncology or radiation oncology preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
