Quality Supervisor – Food Safety & Hygiene

About the role

Nestlé USA is seeking a Quality Supervisor to act as the factory guardian for food safety and hygiene. The role leads Quality Assurance activities, works closely with Production and the Quality team, and ensures consumer trust by maintaining rigorous safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and enforce HACCP plans and GMP programs across the site.
• Manage sanitation, cross‑contact and integrated pest‑management programs, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise the consumer‑complaint program, monitor trends and drive continuous improvement actions.
• Support internal and external audits (FDA, USDA, ISO, Kosher, Halal, etc.) and maintain all Nestlé quality management system documentation.
• Coach and assess staff on food‑safety competencies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with 3‑5 years in quality assurance and 1‑2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in regulated food environments and familiarity with 21 CFR 1069, 107, 117, lean manufacturing, and FSSC 22000/SQF preferred.

Required skills

• HACCP implementation and validation.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation SOPs.
• Food‑safety regulations (21 CFR 1069, 107, 117).
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office suite.
• Statistical and mathematical analysis.
• Integrated Pest Management expertise.
