Quality Line Side Inspector A320 (2nd Shift)

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Quality Line Side Inspector for the A320 family on the 2nd shift at its Mobile, AL facility. You will perform technical inspections throughout the aircraft production process, focusing on structure and mechanical systems, and ensure compliance with design, customer, and certification requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute visual, incoming, first‑article and final inspections and document results in SAP, FLEXNET/NCMS and other IT systems.
• Support troubleshooting, functional test procedures and quality survey requests.
• Compile non‑conformance data, launch NCMS discrepancy sheets and participate in Material Review Board audits.
• Track and maintain components during the non‑conformance process and perform audits of workbooks for process adherence.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; FAA Airframe & Powerplant License with inspection authorization preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Quality Inspector in aviation, with strong knowledge of mechanical or structural components.
• Ability to work 100 % onsite, meet physical requirements (standing, lifting up to 30 lb, working at heights, confined spaces).
• U.S. work authorization without need for visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant License with inspection authorization.
• Proficiency with SAP and FLEXNET/NCMS inspection documentation systems.
• Use of inspection tools and length‑measuring techniques (mechanical, optical, electrical).
• Interpretation of engineering drawings, inspection plans and quality management systems.
