Quality Inspector – 2nd Shift (1:30 pm‑10 pm)

About the role

The Quality Inspector I will visually inspect labels, PIDs and pouches to approve packing operations and other processes. The successful candidate obtains samples, inspects them against specifications, records data and makes accept/reject decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Verify dimensions, cavity measures, pressure and other product specifications using gauges, optical comparator, micrometer, calipers, go‑no‑go gauges, pin gauges, microscope and air‑pressure gauges.
• Follow quality‑control inspection criteria to release acceptable lots or reject lots for re‑work.
• Read written specifications, drawings and Quality Control Inspection Procedures.
• Complete and maintain quality‑control records, shop orders and related documentation.
• Assist in training new QA inspectors and conduct spot audits to reinforce GMP and quality‑manual standards.
• Operate forklift or pallet jack for raw‑material handling and manage quarantine areas.
• Set up and perform destructive and non‑destructive testing on materials and products.
• Ensure equipment calibration, maintain a clean‑room environment and adhere to gowning practices.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a similar role within an FDA‑regulated manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Driver’s license for heavy vehicles (preferred).
• Knowledge of basic math, graph interpretation, statistical process control and inspection methods.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and written documents in English.
• Capability to stand for long periods and work the 2nd shift (1:30 pm‑10 pm).

• Use of optical comparator, micrometer, calipers, go‑no‑go gauges, pin gauges and microscope.
• Operation of air‑pressure gauges and other testing instruments.
• Forklift or pallet‑jack operation.
• Destructive and non‑destructive testing techniques.
• Statistical process control (SPC) application.
