Quality Control Technician III – Manufacturing Inspection

About the role
The Quality Control Technician III supports inspection and verification of critical manufacturing processes at our umbilical facility. You will ensure that materials, sub‑assemblies and finished products meet defined specifications, industry standards, and our Quality Management System, driving right‑first‑time delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Perform dimensional, visual and non‑destructive inspections of incoming materials, sub‑assemblies and final products.
- Verify compliance against drawings, specifications and acceptance criteria, recording data with appropriate gauges and tools.
- Review supplier documentation such as Certificates of Conformity and Material Record Books, and maintain accurate records in the QMS (SmartSolve).
- Raise, track and support resolution of non‑conformances, participating in root‑cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Provide in‑process inspection support, working closely with production teams to embed quality into manufacturing.
- Utilize corporate QMS, ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
Required profile
- Minimum five years of experience in quality control, fabrication, NDE or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement and system/process enhancements.
- Experience in oil & gas, automotive or medical device environments is preferred.
- Ability to work rotating or off‑shift schedules and in extreme temperature conditions.
- Strong understanding of HSSE requirements and commitment to safety initiatives.
Required skills
- Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, including RT, LP, MP and UT.
- Dimensional measurement using digital gauges, dial indicators and related equipment.
- Positive Material Identification techniques.
- Root Cause Analysis and Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) knowledge.
- Interpretation of engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances.
- Proficiency with QMS software (SmartSolve), ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
