Quality Analyst

About the role

Philadelphia Gear, part of the Timken Power Systems group, is seeking a Quality Analyst to lead its Tooling and Equipment Calibration and Document Control programs. The role supports Marine and Aftermarket Inspection programs, ensures compliance with Department of Defense guidelines, and drives continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the Tooling and Equipment Calibration Program and Document Control system.
• Support Marine Inspection and Aftermarket Inspection programs, including on‑site government/customer inspections.
• Conduct internal and external audits, layered process audits, and local shop audits.
• Analyze quality costs, apply statistical methods, and lead Lean/Six Sigma improvement projects.
• Prepare and deliver final reports per contract requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and shop personnel on quality issues and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and DoD regulations.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of quality experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse teams.
• Proven experience performing internal and external audits.
• Thorough understanding of ISO 9001 requirements and certifications.
• Familiarity with Department of Defense or other government agency standards.
