Psychology Instructor (Higher Education)

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks a dedicated Psychology Instructor to join Chattahoochee Technical College. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Social Sciences and the Dean of Arts and Sciences, you will deliver undergraduate psychology courses across multiple campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update course syllabi, learning objectives, and assessment materials.
• Deliver instruction in face‑to‑face and online formats, utilizing Blackboard or a comparable LMS.
• Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and maintain academic records.
• Participate in faculty meetings, college committees, and community outreach initiatives.
• Support student success through advising, tutoring, and recruitment activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology coursework (non‑substitutable).
• Minimum three years of post‑secondary teaching experience, preferably full‑time.
• Experience teaching both in‑person and online courses.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard or a similar learning management system.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Computer literacy for course preparation and reporting.
