Psychologist 3 – State Government

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Psychologist 3 to join its health and human services team. Working under broad supervision, you will evaluate and treat behavioral, emotional, and cognitive disorders for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and evaluate behavioral, emotional, and cognitive disorders through observation, interviews, and psychological testing.
• Develop and administer treatment programs that may include counseling, therapy, and research initiatives.
• Support clients in maintaining and enhancing physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and interpersonal functioning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA‑accredited institution.
• Current Georgia license to practice psychology (temporary, provisional, or permanent).
• Minimum two years of experience at the Psychologist 2 level or equivalent.
