Psychiatrist (Part‑time or Full‑time)

About the role

Amae Health is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Psychiatrist to join its San Mateo clinic. The position can be full‑time or part‑time and focuses on delivering high‑quality, integrated care for patients with severe mental illness.

Key responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health management across a range of treatment modalities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans during engagement and stabilization phases.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as patients move through recovery phases.
• Deliver continuous, regular consultations and coordinate with therapists, primary‑care providers, dietitians, and community health workers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to outcome measurement and research initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible psychiatrist.
• Experience treating severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar I, and treatment‑resistant depression.
• Willingness to work onsite in San Mateo, CA, on a full‑time or part‑time schedule.
• Commitment to an integrated, team‑based care model.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in psychopharmacology and evidence‑based SMI treatments.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
