Psychiatrist – Outpatient Clinic (Full/Part-Time)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Psychiatrist to join its growing Psychiatry & Behavioral Health team in New Orleans. The position offers both full‑time and part‑time outpatient clinic opportunities, with telepsychiatry and remote work options for qualified candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat adults with a wide range of behavioral, emotional and developmental conditions.
• Supervise and teach psychiatry residents, fellows and advanced practice providers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including APPs, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers and care coordinators.
• Develop and expand new behavioral‑health programs, integrated‑care clinics and specialty services.

Required profile

• Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry.
• Louisiana medical licensure (or willingness to obtain it).
• Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to hybrid onsite/remote models.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Experience using telepsychiatry platforms for remote patient care.
