Northwest Human Services is looking for an experienced Psychiatric‑Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to serve as the Psychiatric Services Medical Director. This hybrid role blends direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, allowing you to stay hands‑on while shaping the future of psychiatric services across an integrated health system.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, medication management, and risk assessment for a diverse patient population.
• Maintain an active clinical practice while delivering clinical direction, mentorship, and leadership to psychiatric providers.
• Establish and enforce clinical standards, treatment protocols, and documentation expectations across the psychiatric department.
• Collaborate with primary care, behavioral health, nursing, and care‑coordination teams to ensure seamless, patient‑centered care.
• Drive quality and safety improvements using data analysis, incident review, and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Lead department‑specific initiatives, policy development, and service‑enhancement projects in partnership with the Chief Medical Officer.

Required profile

• Licensed Psychiatric‑Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with substantial clinical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain an active psychiatric practice while providing leadership.
• Strong collaborative mindset and experience working with multidisciplinary health teams.
• Commitment to evidence‑based, patient‑focused care within a Federally Qualified Health Center.
