Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Full‑Time (4/10 Schedule)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide high‑acuity psychiatric care for individuals transitioning from city and county jails back into the community. This full‑time position offers a permanent 4‑day work week with no call, weekends, or after‑hours duties.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 90‑minute new patient evaluations and 30‑minute follow‑up visits.
• Manage stable medication regimens for high‑risk patients.
• Coordinate forensic diversion and integrated physical‑psych triage.
• Partner with jail and community forensic teams for warm hand‑offs.
• Maintain strict boundaries; crisis calls are handled by the Medical Director.

Required profile

• Licensed Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with several years of clinical experience.
• Comfort with high‑acuity, justice‑system‑related cases.
• Commitment to depth of care over patient volume.
• Ability to work collaboratively with forensic and community teams.
