Proposal Engineer – Special-Purpose Machinery

About the role

Bosch Manufacturing Solutions is looking for a motivated Proposal Engineer to support the development of special‑purpose machinery for the automotive industry. You will work on innovative machine concepts, lead complex engineering projects and act as a key interface with customers to secure new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse RFPs, RFQs and customer specifications to understand technical, commercial and contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, technical teams and application engineers to define high‑level solution scope, technology and services.
• Support cost estimation and pricing activities to ensure competitive and profitable proposals.
• Prepare clear and persuasive technical documentation, including executive summaries, technical descriptions, scope of work and project plans.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the proposal lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong technical background with experience in industrial automation and special‑purpose machinery.
• Hands‑on, flexible engineer capable of owning projects from concept definition through implementation and customer acceptance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and communicate complex technical information effectively.
