Project Controls Specialist (AMS - Retrofit)

About the role

The Project Controls Specialist is a key member of Enerflex’s AMS Retrofit team, supporting cost management for retrofit projects of varying size and complexity. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the role ensures accurate budgeting, reporting, and risk control while upholding safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports for clients and internal stakeholders, including SOX control reporting.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets in SAP/iMACS, track change orders, cash‑flow projections, and vendor back‑charge logs.
• Assist with proposal estimating, subcontract management, invoice approvals, and claims mitigation.
• Coordinate Bill of Materials activities, maintain the SAP Parts Database, and support OEM parts uploads.

Required profile

• 4+ years of project controls experience, preferably in oil and gas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance or Business (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years working with SAP or similar enterprise financial systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.

Required skills

• SAP (including iMACS) and SAP Parts Database management.
• Microsoft Project.
• Advanced Excel (including complex formulas and pivot tables).
• Proficiency with MS Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) coordination and part‑number classification.
