Project Architect

About the role

CosciaMoos Architecture, a collaborative firm in Center City Philadelphia, is seeking a Project Architect to lead projects from concept through close‑out. The role blends design leadership, technical oversight, and client liaison responsibilities within a creative, solution‑oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all project phases from pre‑design to construction administration.
• Provide functional layout and design consultation directly with the design principal.
• Research zoning restrictions and opportunities, and prepare project manuals and specifications.
• Oversee consultants, evaluate proposals, and ensure seamless delivery of drawings and specifications.
• Manage construction administration, attend site meetings, and evaluate change orders, RFIs, submittals, and payment certificates.
• Act as primary client liaison, maintaining relationships, managing expectations, and communicating fees.
• Create and maintain project schedules, allocate hours, and monitor progress.
• Lead project meetings, prepare minutes, and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
• 5–7 years of architectural design and project experience.
• Registered Architect or clear path toward licensure.
• Experience with mixed‑use, multi‑family, and healthcare projects.
• Strong writing, organizational, and technical knowledge of architectural systems.

Required skills

• Working proficiency in Revit.
