Project Accountant – Construction Finance Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our St. Louis team, supporting the financial success of construction and infrastructure projects. The role provides analytical, financial, and administrative assistance to Project Managers and senior leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with financial oversight from project startup to closeout.
• Prepare, monitor, and maintain project budgets and forecasts.
• Track project costs and revenue, analyze variances, and deliver profitability insights.
• Perform financial analysis on project performance, trends, and risk.
• Set up and maintain projects in Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, including WBS, budgets, billing terms, and revenue‑recognition structures.
• Support monthly percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition calculations.
• Prepare and issue client invoices in line with contract terms.
• Coordinate billing with clients, project teams, and subcontractors.
• Assist with contract reviews, modifications, and related correspondence.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a financial analyst, project accountant, or similar role in a project‑based environment.
• Experience supporting construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
