Program Training Manager – Northern Virginia

About the role

Parsons (Vaxcom Services LLC) seeks an experienced Program Training Manager to lead physical security training for unarmed and armed personnel across multiple sites in Northern Virginia. The role partners with corporate leadership, program managers and client stakeholders to design, enhance and deliver consistent training curricula.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the corporate Program Training Manager to ensure training curriculum, methods and certification requirements are uniform.
• Provide hands‑on “train‑the‑trainer” guidance to supervisors who deliver training across the program.
• Review and update tactical security policies, regulations and procedures, translating changes into training courses.
• Identify and integrate new technologies, equipment and best‑practice methods into the training mission.
• Coordinate use‑of‑force protocols with leadership, law‑enforcement and client representatives and embed them in formal courses.
• Develop and deliver emergency response, weapons qualification and K‑9 program training.
• Track licensing and certifications of all security personnel to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Security or equivalent experience (2+ years direct security experience or 5+ years without degree).
• Active Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Minimum 2 years delivering classroom or field training to physical security officers.
• Experience working in a classified environment and with compliance processes.
• Ability to travel between domestic sites as required.

Required skills

• Instructional design and delivery of security training programs.
• Weapon systems proficiency (handgun, rifle, handcuffs, baton, x‑ray machines, magnetometers).
• Virginia DCJS instructor certification or comparable state‑issued armed‑security certification.
• Familiarity with K‑9 security programs.
