Program Director – Transportation (Aviation & Rail)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a senior Program Director to lead large‑scale transportation programs in Northern California, based in Sacramento. The role oversees $100M+ aviation, rail, road and highway projects, managing the full project life‑cycle across various delivery methods.

Key responsibilities

• Lead interdisciplinary teams and mobilize company resources to deliver vertical construction projects on‑site, five days a week.
• Develop and negotiate scope changes, budgets, schedules, and contracts with clients, subconsultants and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain client and stakeholder relationships, including airport executives, Metros, Caltrans and other DOT offices.
• Oversee implementation of Project Execution Plans, Health & Safety Plans, QA/QC plans and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Monitor program performance through KPIs, risk registers and regular reporting, driving corrective actions when needed.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing multi‑million‑dollar transportation infrastructure programs in California.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with public agencies, clients and senior management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong leadership, communication and financial management skills.
• Track record of delivering complex vertical construction projects on schedule, within budget and to high quality standards.
