About the role
The Program Director leads the clinical and community‑focused programs of Cancer Support Community East Tennessee, overseeing program development, evaluation, and delivery while ensuring high standards of care and compassion for members.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive programs that meet participant needs and comply with CSC national standards.
- Manage the annual program budget, calendars, materials, and resources.
- Facilitate educational workshops, support groups, and individual counseling sessions.
- Oversee collection, analysis, and reporting of program statistics and outcomes.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate clinical staff, adjunct instructors, interns, and volunteers.
- Provide weekly clinical consultation and conduct annual performance reviews.
- Serve as liaison to the Board of Directors and cultivate partnerships with healthcare, academic, and community organizations.
- Support grant writing, reporting, and fundraising activities.
Required profile
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Clinical Psychologist (PhD) licensed in Tennessee.
- Minimum three years of post‑licensure clinical experience.
- At least two years of supervisory or management experience.
- Proven ability to develop, organize, and evaluate programs.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
