Program Coordinator II – Graduate Medical Education

About the role

Texas A&M University Health Science Center seeks a Program Coordinator II to manage daily operations of the Family Medicine Residency at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas. The role partners with the residency director to ensure curriculum delivery, accreditation readiness, and faculty‑resident coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the family medicine residency, including resident training files, scheduling, and compliance with ACGME, ABFM, and Texas Medical Board standards.
• Administer the New Innovations residency management software, providing training to faculty and residents and using it for duty‑hour tracking, evaluations, and reporting.
• Manage recruitment, interviewing, onboarding of residents, and maintain alumni and community relations.
• Supervise office and administrative support staff and handle financial and regulatory affairs in collaboration with GME leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and at least four years of residency program coordination experience, preferably in family medicine.
• Current certification from Training Administrators for Graduate Medical Education (C‑TAGME) is preferred.
• Experience with ACGME site visits, CLER consultative visits, and instructional design.

Required skills

• Proficiency with New Innovations residency management software.
• Experience administering learning management systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and database applications.
