Professional Household Manager

About the role

We are a busy family of five in the greater Des Moines area seeking a proactive, part‑time Household Manager to keep our home organized, run errands, and support daily routines. The role is flexible, with required Thursday availability and collaborative scheduling for the remaining hours.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the home for bi‑weekly cleaning visits and perform light tidying, dishes, and vacuuming.
• Plan and prepare 2–3 family dinners per week, organize pantry, fridge and freezer.
• Manage household inventory, restock supplies, and track shopping lists.
• Run errands, handle mail and packages, and coordinate vendor appointments.
• Maintain indoor plants, perform simple maintenance (replace batteries, bulbs, smoke‑detector checks).
• Provide occasional light supervision for children after school and care for the indoor cat.

Required profile

• Authorized to work in the United States with reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently while keeping parents informed.
• Comfortable with a smoke‑free environment and up‑to‑date vaccinations as recommended.
• Warm, trustworthy presence around school‑aged children and a friendly indoor cat.
