Professional Engineer – Forensic Engineering Lead

About the role

Delta Forensic Engineering is seeking a Professional Engineer to lead forensic investigations of motor vehicle collisions. The role combines field investigations, advanced engineering analysis, and client interaction, requiring travel across the region and occasional expert testimony.

Key responsibilities

• Lead forensic engineering projects, including on‑site accident reconstruction and technical analysis.
• Mentor and collaborate with Associate Engineers on project tasks.
• Utilize 3D scanning, drones, and simulation software to recreate vehicle collisions.
• Prepare, review, and present technical reports to clients.
• Serve as primary client contact and provide expert witness testimony when needed.

Required profile

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of engineering experience with client‑facing responsibilities.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Demonstrated expertise in accident reconstruction.
• Willingness to travel regionally.
