Production Supervisor Finishing

About the role

The Finishing Supervisor ensures smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the Foundry Finishing area. This full‑time position leads union production personnel, drives production targets, and supports continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise safety, production, quality and schedule performance during the shift.
• Prepare and monitor daily and weekly work plans, including staffing, in coordination with production planning.
• Report significant quality or productivity issues to the Foundry Manager for immediate corrective action.
• Maintain maximum production uptime consistent with manpower and equipment availability.
• Ensure staffing and training plans are in place for all key operational areas.
• Participate in ISO‑9001:2015 quality and safety audits and advise management on improvements.

Required profile

• High School Diploma required; BS in a technical discipline preferred.
• Minimum 2 + years heavy‑industrial production experience in a high‑volume, union environment.
• Strong work ethic with excellent team‑building abilities.
• Ability to obtain a tow motor license and successfully complete LOTO and confined‑space training.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Confined‑space safety training.
• Tow motor license operation.
