Production Shift Supervisor – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor to lead a team on a continental shift pattern within a well‑established manufacturing business in Boston, East Midlands. The role focuses on meeting production targets while upholding quality, safety and efficiency standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of production operatives.
• Ensure daily production targets and KPIs are consistently achieved.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture throughout the shift.
• Monitor product quality and enforce procedures and standards.
• Coordinate staffing levels and allocate work effectively.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities and drive process efficiencies.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and warehouse teams to minimise downtime.
• Complete shift handovers, production reports and relevant documentation.
• Support training and development of team members.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Shift Supervisor or Team Leader in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Proven track record of meeting production KPIs and targets.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of health & safety and quality standards in manufacturing.
• Willingness to work a continental shift pattern.
