Production Planning Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Production Planning Analyst to join our Brownwood, TX facility. In this role you will manage the end‑to‑end supply chain for multiple manufacturing areas, ensuring that customer demand is met while optimizing inventory and cost.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the supply plan by purchasing raw materials, scheduling production runs and controlling finished‑goods inventory.
• Coordinate with other 3M sites, external suppliers and internal business teams to achieve service, cost and inventory targets.
• Provide planning analysis and data‑driven insights to support decision‑making.
• Publish and present service and inventory metrics, gap analyses and recommendations.
• Manage production lot sizes, cycles and safety stocks to balance inventory and service levels.
• Identify and lead supply‑chain process‑improvement projects.
• Work daily with manufacturing, supply and demand planners to prioritize and resolve supply constraints.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (completed prior to start).
• Minimum two years of supply‑chain experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and influence outcomes.

Required skills

• Experience with Factory Planner or another MRP/ERP application.
• Project‑management experience.
• APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification (preferred).
