Production Planning Analyst

About the role

Join 3M as a Production Planning Analyst and work with innovative teams worldwide to design and execute production schedules that meet customer demand while optimizing operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan production schedules for assigned work centers and subcontractor locations to satisfy customer requirements and maximize efficiency.
• Utilize SAP (MRP) to make data‑driven decisions on scheduling, capacity management, and procurement.
• Procure materials and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the production plan is fulfilled.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Business Supply Chain, Quality, Supply Planning, and Demand Planning teams.
• Own performance metrics such as On‑Time In‑Full (OTIF), backlog, and production plan attainment, and drive continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of combined experience in production planning, supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP (MRP) for production scheduling and capacity management.
