Production Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Production Assistant to join NewForm’s fast‑moving production team in New York City. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience on set and a clear pathway toward senior production roles.

Key responsibilities

• Lead simple, low‑stakes shoots from concept to delivery, focusing on lo‑fi and phone‑first UGC content.
• Assist on larger productions by setting up cameras, lighting, and audio gear and keeping the set running smoothly.
• Maintain the studio and office environment – keep it stocked, organized, and ready for creators.
• Support shoot scheduling, logistics, and preparation.
• Source props, wardrobe, and other production materials as needed.
• Organize footage and assets after each shoot.
• Proactively troubleshoot any issues that arise on set.

Required profile

• Strong interest in content production, filmmaking, or social/creative marketing.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Eager to learn on set and contribute to day‑to‑day studio upkeep.
• Previous internship, freelance, or student‑film experience is a plus but not required.
