Production Assistant – Fashion Sample & Logistics Coordination

About the role

We are seeking a Production Assistant to support a leading fashion brand in New York City. The role focuses on managing sample shipments, coordinating with sales and international teams, and ensuring timely delivery of products throughout the season.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sample collections, shipments, and showroom organization for multiple selling seasons.
• Process advertising sample requests, maintain sample charts, and track deliveries to sales teams.
• Assist sales with risk buys, ZRDC orders, and daily purchase‑order updates using ex‑factory dates and transportation modes.
• Organize air freight lists and determine appropriate transport modes via the RODEO system in SAP.
• Serve as liaison among merchandising, sales, and international partners to provide shipment tracking, delivery status reports, and delay updates.
• Support all divisions (DOS, Concession, Wholesale) with delivery requests and proactive timing solutions.
• Coordinate in‑house sample sales and work with jobbers to sell leftover merchandise.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the fashion industry.
• Independent, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented with strong written and verbal communication.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced office.
• Team player with a solid work ethic; analytical mindset is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SAP (including BIS and RODEO modules).
