Product Engineer – Industrial Adhesives & Tapes

About the role

As a Product Engineer in 3M's Industrial Adhesives and Tapes Division, you will work with global teams to expand product knowledge, drive new product scale‑up, and ensure consistent standards across sites. This role blends product development, process engineering, and technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Expand product and process understanding for assigned products and new developments.
• Lead product and process changes, following change‑control procedures.
• Drive scale‑up and product characterization in close partnership with manufacturing.
• Create, review, approve, and own product standards and test methods.
• Promote common product standards across global sites.
• Assist plants with complaint resolution, reduction projects, and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (required).
• At least 7 years of product, materials, or process engineering experience.
• Experience with pressure‑sensitive adhesives is preferred.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and use of statistical tools.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with production or supply‑chain teams.
