Process Technician – New College Graduate (Santa Clara)

About the role
As a Process Technician you will prepare wafers for experimentation, operate thin‑film reactors, and use scanning electron microscopes (SEM) for analysis and imaging. You will record process conditions, perform routine maintenance, and evaluate wafers and thin films to support semiconductor manufacturing.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare wafers and clean reactors for experiments.
- Operate reactors to perform thin‑film processes under supervision.
- Operate SEM for cross‑section, top‑view, critical dimension (CD) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) analysis.
- Prepare cross‑section samples for SEM analysis and identify patterns of interest.
- Record process conditions and experimental observations.
- Perform routine maintenance procedures, including flash and plasma cleaning.
Required profile
- High school or technical diploma, military technical training, or trade certification.
- Up to 1 year of related experience (minimum).
- 1–2 years of work experience in a related field is preferred.
Required skills
- Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) operation and software alignment.
- Thin‑film reactor operation.
- Wafer preparation and cleaning.
- Process condition documentation.
- Routine equipment maintenance.
