PRN General Anesthesiologist – North Shore, LA

About the role

Ochsner Health’s North Shore Anesthesia group is seeking a PRN General Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia services across multiple facilities including Covington ASC, Slidell East, Slidell Main, and Hancock. The role supports basic pediatric, obstetric, and cardiac cases and works closely with community and Ochsner surgeons.

Key responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia coverage for basic pediatric, obstetric and cardiac procedures at four North Shore locations.
• Collaborate with community and Ochsner surgeons and proceduralists to ensure safe patient care.
• Develop strong working relationships with medical staff across the network.
• Utilize the Epic electronic medical record system for documentation and order entry.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Open to physicians with post‑training experience or recent graduates.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse team of surgeons and proceduralists.
• Commitment to using comprehensive electronic medical records (Epic).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system.
• Experience delivering anesthesia for pediatric, obstetric, and cardiac procedures.
