PRN Diagnostic Radiology Physician

About the role

Ochsner Health’s Department of Radiology seeks a PRN Diagnostic Radiology Physician to provide daytime and after‑hours imaging coverage across community hospitals, outpatient facilities, and urgent care centers in the Meridian region.

Key responsibilities

• Daytime coverage of outpatient and inpatient examinations across Ochsner community hospitals, outpatient facilities, and urgent care centers.
• After‑hours emergency department coverage in collaboration with Ochsner Emergency Radiologists.
• Weekend coverage (approximately 1 in 8 shifts) and occasional late‑day shift (12 noon – 8 pm).
• Supervision of residents during weekend and late‑shift assignments.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible radiologist qualified to read screening and diagnostic breast imaging, including digital breast tomosynthesis (preferred).
• Ability to provide MQSA‑qualified breast imaging interpretation.
• Willingness to work part‑time or full‑time with flexible scheduling.

Required skills

• Interpretation of diagnostic and treatment radiology procedures.
• Use of advanced radiology technology and EPIC electronic medical record system.
