Principal Software Engineer - AI Engineering

About the role

Context Labs is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive forward AI Engineering initiatives within the Immutably™ Platform and analytics spaces. The role combines technical leadership, mentorship of junior engineers, and strategic product integration.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical authority on AI, LLMs, and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain AI integrations, systems, and services for the Immutably™ Platform.
• Collaborate with product owners and other development teams to translate business requirements into software tasks.
• Fine‑tune pre‑trained language models and design prompt strategies for specific use cases.
• Build Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to meet business needs.
• Deliver exemplary designs, architecture, and code standards for the team.
• Conduct code reviews and lead technical talks on AI system scaling and performance.
• Mentor and coach team members, coordinating across distributed time zones.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong communication skills and big‑picture orientation with attention to detail.
• Comfort with abstract concepts and complex system architectures.
• Proven experience integrating LLM APIs and fine‑tuning language models.
• Experience leading agile teams and mentoring engineers.
