Principal Product Manager, Agentic Systems

About the role

CloudZero is looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead the development of agentic and automated decision systems that turn noisy financial and operational signals into trusted, explainable recommendations or actions. This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, data orchestration, automation, and human‑in‑the‑loop decision‑making, driving the shift from insight delivery to intelligent action.

Key responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and multi‑quarter roadmap for agentic and automated decision systems, identifying high‑impact opportunities across spend anomalies, budgets, forecasts, and operational metrics.
• Lead end‑to‑end product development for complex system‑level workflows, writing precise requirements for signal ingestion, normalization, decision logic, and human‑in‑the‑loop controls.
• Partner with engineering to balance correctness, latency, scalability, and user trust while defining when systems should observe, recommend, require approval, or act autonomously.
• Engage directly with enterprise customers to validate automation value, required explainability, and non‑negotiable human approval points.
• Serve as the connective tissue across platform engineering, data engineering, design, security, and customer‑facing teams, communicating complex system behavior to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years of product management experience building B2B SaaS products in technically complex domains.
• Proven track record owning automation, orchestration, or decision‑system products such as infrastructure, DevOps tooling, data pipelines, or security remediation workflows.
• Strong product craft: writing detailed PRDs, specs, and translating ambiguous problems into testable solutions.
• Experience designing workflows where trust, correctness, and false‑positive mitigation are critical.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority and mentor peers through technical product decisions.

Required skills

• AWS, GCP, Azure billing and usage data.
• Data pipelines and orchestration frameworks.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD concepts.
• FinOps and cloud cost management.
• Background in data engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems engineering.
